Our Firm

Cynthia Lauer has been practicing family law since 1996.

 

After completing her law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School, she articled with the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee, a part of the Ontario government that represents those who are mentally incapable of making their own decisions.  Cases involving mental health issues remain an area of interest.

 

Following her call to the Bar, she started a busy family law practice in Scarborough, Ontario.  She was frequently in court with domestic violence, Children's Aid and complex child custody cases.

 

She was contract counsel for the Catholic Children's Aid Society of Toronto for a year.  Following that, she was an associate with Bortolussi and Associates.  She started this Richmond Hill practice in 2005.

 

Cynthia Lauer has also been a collaborative family lawyer for the past 15 years.
